Health Agreements UK
residents travelling to Europe, should pick up
an FORM
E111 from the
Post Office or call Freephone
0800 555 777. As a citizen
of the European Union,
it entitles you to benefit
from the reciprocal health
agreement between EU Countries.
It can be validated at
no cost at any Post Office
with your passport. If
used, it will mean any
medical claim excess on
your insurance will be
waived. If you need treatment,
you should present this
at the time of treatment
as it may save you paying
the policy excess from
any claim under the section
Medical and Other Expenses.
When you are travelling
to Australia or New Zealand
and you have to go to hospital,
you must register for treatment
under the National Medicare
Scheme of those countries.
If you do not do this,
the insurers may not be
able to pay your claim.
If you are in any doubt
as to how to collect a
FORM
E111 or register
for the Medicare Scheme,
please contact Inter Group
Assistance Services who
will be able to help you
- see the policy
wording for more details.
